LANRAVE

Privacy Policy

Last updated November 3, 2026

This policy covers the LANRave apps for Mac, iPhone and Android, made by Eggs + Toast Media, LLC ("we"). In short: LANRave doesn't collect, store or share any personal data.

What LANRave doesn't do

How the audio travels

The Mac app captures the sound your Mac is playing and streams it over your local network (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) straight to the phones that have joined. It doesn't pass through the internet or any outside server, and it isn't recorded or saved. The Mac asks your permission before LANRave can capture system audio.

Local network access

To find a rave and join it, the phone app needs permission to use your local network. iPhone asks you for this the first time you open the app. LANRave uses this only to discover the LANRave host on your network and receive its audio stream.

What stays on your device

When you join a rave, your phone's display name (a nickname you can change) goes to the host Mac on your network, so the host can see who's listening. It goes nowhere else.

The apps keep a few settings on your own device, such as your headphone calibration and that nickname. They also keep a short technical log of connection and sync timing, which stays on the device and is used only for troubleshooting. Nothing in it is sent anywhere unless you choose to share it with us.

Children

LANRave collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
